The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has been feted for its role in enhancing access to ICTs in the country.

CA won the Best Digital Inclusion Excellence Award for the second year running at this year’s ICT Value Awards (ICTVA) hosted by the ICT Association of Kenya (ICTAK).

At the same time the CA Director General, Mr. Francis Wangusi won the ICT Leadership award for overseeing the ICT sector that has witnessed significant growth over the past 15 years.

The awards seek to recognize, promote and commend excellent achievements in the ICT sector in Kenya and in particular ICT professionals and organizations that have contributed to a favourable image of Kenya's ICT industry

The event was attended by the Principal Secretary, Ministry of Devolution and Planning Eng. Peter Mangiti, his Lands counterpart Arch. Mariamu El Maawy, and Eng. James Rege, a member of National Assembly’s Committee on Energy and Communications and Prof. Joseph Bitok, Kenya’s ambassador to Sudan.
