David Mugonyi Assumes Office as Director General

Mr. David Mugonyi has today assumed office as the Director General of the Communications Authority of Kenya (CA).

Upon his arrival at the Authority, Mr. Mugonyi met the Board of Directors led by Board Chairperson Ms. Mary Mungai during which he received the instruments of office from his predecessor, Mr. Christopher Wambua.

Mr. Mugonyi later had an extended tour of the CA Centre, meeting staff and appreciating the various regulatory tools. He also met with the Management Committee.

Mr. Mugonyi was appointed on 20th December 2023 for a term of four years and becomes the 7th Director General since the establishment of the Authority in 1999.

Prior to his appointment, Mr. Mugonyi was the Director of the Presidential Communications Service (PCS).
