In March 2006, the Government released the Information and Communications Technology Sector Policy Guidelines via the Kenya Gazette Notice Vol. CVIII – No. 24. The Guidelines were released following an extensive consultative process with stakeholders. The Guidelines replaced the Telecommunications and Postal Sector Guidelines of December 2001.
