CA Hosts Stakeholder Workshop on Data Market Study
The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) recently convened a stakeholder workshop on the Data Market Study, bringing together industry players, sector stakeholders, and partners to discuss the state of the data services market in Kenya.
During the workshop, the Authority presented key findings from the study and provided a platform for stakeholders to share their inputs, perspectives, and recommendations. The interactive engagement underscored the importance of collaboration in shaping a fair, competitive, and consumer-focused data market.
The Data Market Study examined the structure of the market and pricing dynamics within the sector, with a focus on identifying opportunities and challenges affecting the provision of data services. The insights gathered are intended to inform evidence-based regulatory interventions that promote affordability, transparency, and effective competition.
CA reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive stakeholder engagement and to fostering a regulatory environment that supports innovation while safeguarding consumer interests. Feedback received during the workshop will contribute to refining the study outcomes and guiding future policy and regulatory actions aimed at improving access to affordable data services across the country.
The Authority continues to work closely with stakeholders to advance Kenya’s digital transformation agenda and ensure that data services remain accessible, competitive, and responsive to the needs of all users.
