Kenya is participating in the Giga Global Connectivity Initiative led by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and UNICEF aimed at connecting every school to the internet. In parallel, Kenya is also engaged in the Africa BB Maps project, which aims to strengthen a harmonized national broadband network system by mapping broadband infrastructure and service connectivity.

As a key stakeholder in national broadband connectivity, the Authority kindly requests your support in sharing available ICT infrastructure data in the format(s) provided in the attached Data Dictionary Templates. The requested information includes fiber network data, mobile network coverage, connectivity-related costs, retail internet prices and any other relevant data that may support this initiative. All data provided will be used strictly for the purposes of national broadband mapping to inform decision-making on advancing national connectivity in accordance with the Data Protection Act (2019), licensing conditions, confidentiality obligations and disclosure control requirements.
