Director General Hosts IFPI CEO to Deepen Collaboration on the Creative Economy

The Communications Authority of Kenya welcomed the Chief Executive Officer of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), Victoria Oakley, who paid a courtesy call on Director General David Mugonyi.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss issues shaping the digital and creative sectors, including the protection of intellectual property, innovation and collaboration to support the growth of Kenya's music industry in the digital age.

The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI) is the global trade association that represents the recorded music industry. It champions the economic value of recorded music, safeguards the intellectual property rights of record producers, and expands commercial music licensing across more than 70 countries.
