CA Participates in the Global Trust Summit 2026

The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) today joined global stakeholders at the inaugural Global Trust Summit underway in Nairobi.

Co-convened by Strathmore University and the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, the three-day landmark summit was officially opened by the Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Hon. Musalia Mudavadi.

The Summit brings together heads of state, policymakers, private sector executives, civil society leaders and young people to address the growing global crisis of public confidence.

CA Director-General, Mr. David Mugonyi, was represented in a panel session by Dr. Priscilla Njako, the Director, Competition Management, Consumer Protection and Corporate Communications. The panel discussion themed "Who Are the Custodians of Trust?" identified transparency, integrity, public participation and accountability as the core pillars of public trust.

Dr. Njako highlighted the importance of effective consumer complaint resolution and responsive service delivery in strengthening confidence in regulatory institutions. The discussion further emphasised the need for institutions to translate their commitments into tangible results and to remain accountable to the public they serve.
