PS Stephen Isaboke, EBS visits CA on a familiarization tour

Today, the Authority was honoured to host the Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunication, Hon. Stephen Isaboke, EBS, during a familiarisation tour. The PS was received by the Chairperson, Ms. Mary Mungai, the Board of Directors, Director General Mr. David Mugonyi and members of the Management Committee.

He engaged in productive discussions separately with the Management Committee and Board of Directors on the Authority’s strategic direction, regulatory priorities, and key initiatives driving Kenya’s digital transformation as the visit provided an opportunity to align on shared goals and reinforce the Authority's role in enabling secure, inclusive, and sustainable ICT development.

The PS reiterated the significance of the ICT sector in the realisation of the BETA aspirations in the digital superhighway and creative pillar.

The tour covered key areas including the Cybersecurity Department, the Spectrum Monitoring Station, and the Broadcast Monitoring Unit, where the Principal Secretary was briefed on the processes and operations through which the Authority executes its mandate.
