Sector Leaders Commit to Improving Telecommunications Service Delivery
The Principal Secretary for Broadcasting and Telecommunications, Mr. Stephen Isaboke today convened a high-level media briefing on the state of Kenya's telecommunications sector, bringing together key industry leaders to discuss the future of connectivity and service delivery.
The sector regulator, Communications Authority was led by Director General Mr. David Mugonyi who highlighted the Authority’s mandate of safeguarding service quality and protecting consumers.
Also in attendance were Safaricom CEO Mr. Peter Ndegwa, Airtel Kenya Managing Director Mr. Djibril Tobe and Telkom Kenya CEO Mr. Mugo Kibati.
Mr. Mugonyi emphasized the need for operators to strengthen Quality of Service and enhance customer experience across their networks, particularly as Kenya prepares to host major events such as the Africa Cup of Nations.
The meeting was held in the backdrop of addressing rising consumer concerns over dropped calls, slow internet speeds and fluctuating network performance.
